Jed has over 30 years of experience in civil engineering in the Central Texas area. During this time, he has designed and managed projects which include water, and wastewater improvements, street and drainage improvements, urban stormwater management, floodplain improvements, landfill improvements, airport improvements, institutional projects, sports complexes and stadiums, industrial projects, and land development projects. Since moving to Waco in 1990, he has acted as project manager or director for more than 1000 projects. His clients include municipalities, industries, regional airports, and private developers.

Jed Walker’s reputation for building lifelong relationships and providing exceptional engineering and planning services to Central Texas municipalities is unparalleled. Jed’s first two municipal clients (the City of Waco and the City of Lacy Lakeview) are still his clients today! Jed founded Walker Partners on the basis that our clients are our partners, friends, and neighbors. “Our focus is on people and relationships, providing steadfast engineering services, and doing the right thing every chance we get!”

The City of West has been Jed’s client for 22 years. On the evening of April 17, 2013, a tragic explosion at a fertilizer plant in West destroyed many lives, homes, businesses, and infrastructure. Jed was immediately on the scene to assess the damaged infrastructure, striving to restore water and wastewater service back to the community. Most notably, Jed worked with West’s State Representative, Senator, and the Governor to secure an $8 Million appropriation bill (House Bill 1025) to rebuild West!

Mayor Muska can attest to Jed’s dedication, expertise, desire, and willingness to go above and beyond to help friends (clients), neighbors, and the community.

“Walker Partners was instrumental in the City obtaining 8 million in State of Texas disaster grant money to rebuild the city’s infrastructure. Their technical expertise, professionalism, and patience they showed with working with FEMA was invaluable to me as Mayor in explaining our need for federal assistance.

Walker Partners has been in the City of West’s corner from the very beginning and the peace of mind their experience and dedication brings to the City makes them top-shelf in my book.”
